Description

Punta Caruso is the most high point of Forio, beautiful place, immersed in nature, almost wild. The path to walk is pebbly and dusty with rupestral vegetation. At the end of the path, it's necessary to climb the mountain and you arrive in an amazing place, where to spend a quiet day on the volcanic rocks cuddling by the sea. Punta Caruso is also a natural prolongation of the wood of Zaro toward the sea.

How to reach the beach

The beach of Punta Caruso is situated in the municipality of Forio. It's reachable by bus and car, driving the main street of the island.
Whover prefers to move by bus,line 24, from Citara, stops just a 13 minutes walk (on foot) from the beach, while lines 1 - 2 - CD - CS stop on the main street just a 20 minutes walk away.

If you have babies or elderly persons, this place is not recommended because it's needed agility.
Useful advise: buy rubber shoes in order to walk easly on warm stones.

Description

The beach of Cava dell'isola has dark and fine sand. Situated between the two rocky tuff promontories, with deep floor. It's considered a beach for young. Sometimes the romantic effect of the waves on the foreshore makes the scenery so sweet, fading into the immense sea.

How to reach the beach

The beach of Cava dell'isola is situated in the municipality of Forio, just a short walk from the bay of Citara and the Lovers rocks. It's easly reachable by bus and car. The bus stop lines 1 – 2 – CD – CS is at 700m and 8 minutes on foot, while the bus stop lines 21 – 22 – 23 – 24, from Citara, stops near the street which leads to the beach.
Whoever prefers to move by car, two ample parkings at your disposal.

The beach of Chiaia, long and sandy, to the right of the port of Forio, 300 m from the centre. Surrounded by several establishments, bars and restaurants, meeting place for whoever wants to make aquatic sports but meanwhile it has free areas. Suitable for children.
