The Pietratorcia Cellars near the Ancient Library Mattera, organize every year, at their tasting point, interesting cultural events in one of the most characteristic streets of Forio just a short walk from the harbor in the historic center.
Tasting wines and sampling delicacies inspired by the small island of Ischia and Mediterranean local cuisine, you will return back in time to the rediscovery of the strong and genuine tastes of this lovely land. Unforgettable is the bread and tomato bread is leavened with baked bread, the tomatoes are small and round of Ischia, thanks to the generous sun and the volcanic soil of the island, are tasty and sweet ; basil perfumed oil is scented and strictly strictly extra-virgin olive oil do the rest.
And then little batter and fried food with aromatic herbs, cheeses and cold cuts rediscovered in small towns of the Campania and a thousand other tastes.
The tastings are strictly accompanied by fine wines from the island of Ischia.
