Description
It is a site of great historical importance ARCHAEOLOGICAL cultural, are currently ongoing excavation work.Two thousand seven hundred years ago an eruption and subsequent lava flows sealed the building under a mass of boiling mud.
The archaeological site inside the Punta Chiarito park is similar to that of Herculaneum, but older than 7 centuries.
The discovery of the house, along with numerous tools and household utensils of the period brought to light, has allowed us to collect valuable new scientific information, essential for reconstructing the history of the settlement greek in Ischia and the Gulf of Naples. When the Greeks they came to Ischia, landed in Punta clarified.
