Monsignor Giovanni Scotti, born in Forio on March 18, 1874 by Salvatore Scotti and Caterina Mattera, only 22 years laurel in sacred theology and the year after he graduated in Utroque jure. In 1918 he was promoted to Archbishop of Rossano where he worked among the youth of Catholic Action, and faced the painful social problems and economic renewal of life in the country.
